In-person service workers such as Hinetemoa Kahu, a cleaner at Hutt Hospital, are a very large and expanding occupational group in New Zealand. Hinetemoa is shown at a photography exhibition on the working conditions of contract cleaners, at the Farsite Gallery in Petone, in 1999.
