Raymond Ratima murders, 1992

In 1992 Masterton man Raymond Ratima killed seven members of his family, including his three young sons, at the home of his parents-in-law. Ratima and his wife had been experiencing relationship difficulties and had moved in with her parents. Ratima was asked to leave after an altercation but returned to the house and killed everyone there. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
