Kōiwi kōiwi – bone bone was published in 2010 and was Hinemoana Baker's second collection of poems. The first, Mātuhi – needle was published in 2004 and included a CD of her readings in the back pocket of the book. As the bilingual titles of her books suggest, Baker's poetry draws from both her Māori and Pākehā heritages. Baker is a performance poet who also sings and has produced several albums in a country/folk style.
