Haurongo: Haast, Julius von

Artist John Gully used sketches by Julius Haast to produce this painting of the Southern Alps from the Godley River. Haast used the painting, and 11 others Gully produced, to illustrate a lecture he gave to the Royal Geographical Society in London in 1864.
