Katipō spider stamp

Katipō spider stamp

Although few people ever see a katipō spider, it is widely known because it is one of the few venomous native animals in the country. It is the only New Zealand spider to have featured on a postage stamp, as part of the Creepy Crawlies series produced by New Zealand Post in 1997.
