Ko Korokī taiohi, Korokī whakaiti tēnei (kei waenganui) o te tau 1933 pea, arā, i te tau ka whakawahia ai ia hei Kīngi Māori tuarima.  Kei tōna taha ko tōna kaitohutohu matua ko Pei Te Hurinui Jones (maui), rāua ko Te Kiri Kātipa.  Ehara a Korokī i te tangata whaikōrero, he rangamāheuheu ia ki te tū hei kīngi.
