New Zealand’s Japanese population, 1981–2013

This graph shows the dramatic increase in the number of Japanese living in New Zealand since the early 1990s. The number of those born in New Zealand of Japanese ethnicity has increasingly pulled ahead of the number of Japanese-born residents.
