
In mid-2001, once funding for Te Ara had been approved by the Cabinet (but not yet released), Chief Historian Jock Phillips and Senior Historian Bronwyn Dalley spent several months planning the overall structure for the sprawling and ground-breaking project. These are some of the whiteboard notes that emerged from those brainstorming sessions, showing four possible alternative structures.
