Hayward Wright

In the 1930s pioneer horticulturalist Hayward Wright selected and propagated a kiwifruit vine that produced large flavoursome fruits with excellent keeping qualities. It became popular with growers, and selections from this cultivar now form the basis of the kiwifruit industry.
