Bob Crowder in his garden

Bob Crowder, among his organic cabbages, explains his methods of organic crop production. While a lecturer in horticulture at Lincoln University, he set up the Biological Husbandry Unit in the mid-1970s. At the time he was the only researcher in the country advocating organic methods of farming.
