Story: Coaches and long-distance buses

Naked Bus

On the Naked Bus, all passengers book online and the first to do so for any journey pays just $1 plus a 70-cent booking fee. The company, which fills the unsold seats of other operators’ coaches, is the brainchild of former transport consultant Hamish Nuttall. He followed the business model of discount airline operators for Naked Bus, which he set up in Auckland in 2006.
