Royal visits: royal progress, Auckland, 1901 (1st of 6)

When visiting Auckland, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York (later King George V and Queen Mary) progressed through celebratory arches, several of which are shown in this collection of images from the 1902 Cyclopedia of New Zealand. The royal couple was on a tour of the British Empire, thanking the dominions for their response to the South African War. The pair travelled on the royal yacht Ophir.
