Diversity Action Programme

Diversity Action Programme

The ‘Diversity Fern’, made up of symbols from many of the cultures and ethnicities of modern New Zealand, was the symbol of the Human Rights Commission’s Diversity Action Programme. It aimed to recognise and celebrate the cultural diversity of New Zealand society, and to promote the equal enjoyment by everyone of their civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, regardless of race, colour, ethnicity or national origin. It also aimed to foster harmonious relations between diverse peoples.
