Rip It Up cover

Rip It Up magazine

Rip It Up began in 1977 as a giveaway magazine. Its early development coinicided with the flowering of New Zealand's alternative music scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Rip It Up was one of the first New Zealand magazines devoted to serious reviews of local rock music in both live and recorded forms. This cover is from a 2013 issue. Rip It Up ceased publishing in 2015.
