Main alpine plants in New Zealand

The table lists the main alpine plant genera in New Zealand. Some genera, such as Forstera, Haastia, Oreobolus and Pachycladon, are confined to the mountains. Others, like Acaena, Dracophyllum and Hebe, also have species in the lowlands.
